Magic: The Gathering and I go back to 1994, and the relationship has had its on-and-off years like any long one. These days I mainly play Legacy and Premodern, where I've managed a couple of modest top 8 finishes in recent times which I'm fond of (Storlegacy May 2025 and Challenge June 2024, both at Alphaspel in Stockholm), and I'll never turn down a Commander game.
I'm also a software engineer. Most of what I build at work these days is agentic AI: systems that can reason, take real actions, and handle complex user interactions on their own.
Manacurve is where those two parts of my life come together. It's the deck-building and metagame analysis tool I always wished existed, with deck management, card search, tournament data, and an AI assistant called the Loremaster trained on three decades of Magic rules, card text, and lore.
A note about the wiki articles. The Loremaster does the research and writes the first draft. I review and edit every one before it goes up. I think being honest about how the content gets made matters.
